TEMPLE FADE BLEND

Designed to integrate with active barbershop fade. SMP-to-hair boundary invisible at conversation distance. Requires barber collaboration.

Temple Fade Blend diagram

The Temple Fade Blend is the only profile in the KORT system that explicitly requires ongoing collaboration with a barber. It is designed for clients who maintain an active fade haircut, where the SMP must integrate seamlessly with the graduated hair length in the temple region.

Diagnostic Principle

A fade is a moving target. Every barber visit changes the gradient, and the SMP must remain invisible across these variations. Without barber collaboration, the profile will eventually be exposed by an incompatible haircut.

The practitioner must understand fade classifications (cross-referenced with the KORT Fade Classifications) and map the SMP density to the midpoint of the client's typical fade range. Too dense and the SMP shows through when the fade is cut higher than usual. Too sparse and gaps appear when the fade is lower.

This profile requires a pre-treatment consultation that includes the client's barber. The barber needs to understand where the SMP boundary sits and maintain the fade accordingly.

The technical execution involves a density gradient that mirrors the fade gradient — highest density at the hairline, progressively thinning through the fade zone, and terminating at a point that remains covered by even the shortest fade the client typically wears.
