FAQ
Is KORT an SMP certification course?
No. KORT teaches diagnostic methodology — how to read skulls, design hairlines, and make structured decisions. It assumes you already hold an SMP certification or have equivalent practical experience. KORT adds the diagnostic framework that sits alongside your existing technical skills.
I'm already a working SMP technician. Is this for me?
Yes, particularly if you want to move from instinct-based design decisions to structured diagnostic reasoning. The technicians who get the most from KORT are those with solid technical ability who want a systematic approach to skull assessment, hairline design, and fade integration.
I'm a barber considering SMP. Where do I start?
The Foundation Track. You already have diagnostic instincts from years of reading skulls with clippers. KORT formalises that knowledge and translates it to the needle. The Clipper-to-Needle Bridge framework was designed specifically for that transition.
What do I get for $497?
Everything. All three training tracks (Foundation, Integration, Institutional), both volumes, the complete Hairline Codex, assessment templates, the barber partnership toolkit, and KORT certification. One payment, lifetime access, including all future updates.
Is the Hairline Codex free?
Yes. All 28 diagnostic classifications across four categories are available to browse at no cost. The codex is the reference standard — the training tracks teach you how to apply it.
Does KORT teach implantation technique?
No. KORT teaches where to place dots and why — not how to operate the machine. Think of it as the diagnostic layer that informs your existing technical skills.
What about dark skin and textured hair?
Fitzpatrick IV–VI protocols and coily texture diagnostics are core content — not add-ons. Traction alopecia, cumulative darkening, warm-tone pigment selection, keloid risk assessment, and the blackout effect are covered in depth within the Foundation Track.
Can my whole team enroll?
The Institutional Track includes team training methodology, quality audit frameworks, and standardisation playbooks. It's designed for clinics that want consistent diagnostic standards across every practitioner. Contact us for team pricing.
What's the refund policy?
Complete Module 1. If the diagnostic methodology doesn't change how you assess every skull, email us within 14 days for a full refund.
Is there a time limit on access?
No. One-time payment, lifetime access. The content is yours permanently, including all future curriculum updates.
